Please complete this form to nominate an individual/SABCA Chapter who has demonstrated hard work and dedication to the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA) and the Chiropractic profession within the current year.
A total of two (3) awards will be presented this year in the month of June: Doctor of the Year, Student of the Year, & SABCA Chapter of the Year
Doctor & Student of the Year
Nominees should meet the following guidelines:
A. Be a current, dues-paying member of the ABCA.
B. Be directly and effectively involved in ABCA affairs and activities by dedicating time and insight to help the association uphold it’s mission statement and purpose.
C. Is a credible role model professionally and personally to his/her community, to other health professionals, and to current students of Chiropractic.
D. Effectively represents the Chiropractic profession.
E. Must not have been awarded ABCA Doctor of the Year within the last 5 years. Students who have been awarded Student of the Year are not eligible to receive the award a second time.
SABCA Chapter of the Year
Nominees should meet the following guidelines:
A. SABCA Chapter has to have paid its yearly Chapter Dues and submitted club reports.
B. Membership Growth, Outreach, and Engagement – Work on growing and retaining membership. Doing membership outreach, such as emails, text blasts, social media posting, and/or newsletters.
C. Innovative and Creative Activities- Hosting impactful events that are organized and innovative. Offering a mix of educational, social, and community-oriented events.
D. Community Service – Participating or hosting in charitable events in your local community and/or around the school/university.
E. Fundraising and Financial Health – Achieving and exceeding fundraising goals.
F. Representation at regional conference, national convention and/or other ABCA/SABCA hosted events.
Nominators for awards should be current dues-paying members of the ABCA
