The ABCA is celebrating its 36th year of existence by focusing on one of the very initiatives that was close to our Founders’ hearts — Community! One of the purposes outlined in the organization’s constitution is to “Perform community education.” With that in mind, the ABCA has chosen a community based organization in the host city of our 2017 National Convention to highlight and fundraise for, The Center for African American Health–Denver (CAAH).
The Center for African American Health is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of African Americans. The Center works toward health equality for the underserved African American community by offering culturally competent health education and outreach that empowers community members to overcome the root causes of health problems, maximize their own individual health and access health and support services.
It’s a ‘Win-Win’ Opportunity!
